I don't believe in "I can't", for myself or my students! I am proud to say that while juggling family, school and a full time job, I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average and have been inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

My name is Jeanne Peltier and I am a student at the University of Houston, pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with a minor in Education. I am not a traditional student, returning to the classroom after more than 18 years, I have been a part-time student while raising my daughter and working full time in an extremely busy Human Resources Department. My anticipated graduation date is (finally) May 2016!
I plan to obtain my K-12 Art Education certification through an alternative certification program and look forward to sharing my love of art with my students. My ideal position would be working with secondary students. Please contact me using the button located at the top of the page. I have high expectations for every child in my care and believe that everyone has potential. Sometimes in art, as in life, mistakes can lead to masterpieces. An example would be Leonardo DE Vinci's Last Supper mural which was actually a failed experiment. If I teach my students nothing else, I want them to leave my class with a belief in themselves. |
